Meet Dr Ruby Farmer, a soft cuddle doll ready to join little ones on adventures while opening up conversations about farm life. Both an agronomist and a farmer, Ruby introduces children to the people and careers involved in growing the food and fibres we use every day.
Dressed in jeans, a shirt and a hat, Ruby has a ponytail peeking out from the back of her hat. Her familiar farming outfit gives children a starting point for make-believe stories, from checking crops to planning a busy day on an imaginary farm.
Measuring 35cm tall, Ruby combines a soft doll body with a semi-hard felt hat. She can become a companion for shared reading, pretend farm visits and everyday play, bringing a character children can involve in their own stories.
Ruby also makes a useful teaching aid when exploring farming, agricultural careers and where food comes from. Pair her with a farm-themed picture book or use her alongside George the Farmer’s free educational farm resources to continue the conversation.
Whether chosen for a young farming enthusiast or given as a thoughtful gift, Ruby Farmer Cuddle Doll brings companionship and learning together. She offers a playful way to celebrate the farmers who help feed and clothe us.
