Meet Ballerina Bunny by Nana Huchy, a character with distinctive style and a heartfelt story about finding a friend who understands you. Her tutu is a fashion choice, and she wears it proudly through all kinds of everyday adventures.
In her fictional backstory, Ballerina Bunny grows up in a small Tasmanian town, dreaming of Paris fashion houses, New York streets and Copenhagen department stores. Unkind comments from her peers leave her feeling discouraged, but she never quite gives up her love of tutus and faux fur collars.
Everything changes when she meets another bunny wearing the very same outfit in a different colour. A lifelong friendship begins, and the pair fill their days with gardening, horse riding, pottery and mosaics—always dressed in their favourite tutus.
This warm character story offers plenty of inspiration for imaginative play. Children might invent a pretend fashion show, plan a garden adventure or create a story about two friends trying something new together.
For gifting, pair Ballerina Bunny with a picture book about friendship or a handwritten message celebrating the recipient’s own interests. She’s a charming choice for someone who enjoys character toys with a story to tell, bringing a little individuality and creative spirit to a growing collection of favourite companions.
